Pivot2021 event – Geothermal. Reimagined – July 19-23, 2021
Save the date for this year’s Pivot2021 event under the theme “Geothermal. Reimagined” (pivoting hydrocarbons to geothermal) to take place July 19-23, 2021.
Last year, the Pivot2020 event made its mark in bringing the oil & gas and geothermal sector together. As a week-long virtual event of ten moderated roundtables, featuring thought leaders and change makers who are building the future of geothermal energy in July 2020, the event was a great success. Panelists included leaders from the oil and gas industry, geothermal industry, academia, governments, national labs, and start-up companies. Check out this great commentary on last year’s event.
Now the dates for the Pivot2021 event have been announced by Jamie Beard, Executive Director
of the Geothermal Entrepreneurship Organization (GEO), The University of Texas at Austin in a post on LinkedIn.
So make sure to save the dates of July 19-23, 2021. The event will feature “fresh faces, new concepts, oil and gas engagement, and a lot of excitement about building the future of geothermal energy”, so the announcement.
Like last year, the event is free to attend and is co-hosted by multiple professional oil, gas and geothermal associations, and the U.S. Department of Energy. … and plans to be three times bigger.
Registration opens at the beginning of July. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for announcements on sessions, competitions, and surprises.
