79 parcels of land within the State of Nevada will be open for bidding in the coming geothermal lease sale by BLM Nevada.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Nevada State Office has announced that 79 parcels of land containing 232,517.810 acres of land in the State of Nevada will be open for an Internet-based competitive geothermal lease sale. The sale date will be on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 and will begin at 8 AM PST / 10 AM CST. The lease sale will be held online at https://www.energynet.com/.

Data on the 79 tracts can be found on the EnergyNet website and can be downloaded in both PDF or Excel formats. A shapefile of GIS data on the tracts is also available.

The sale will be conducted by online bidding only.  Each parcel will have its own unique open bidding period which will last exactly one hour from start to finish. Potential bidders must register and obtain a bidder number to participate in the bidding process. Registration can be done as soon as the auction website is active. Potential bidders are also encouraged to visit the website prior to the open bidding period to familiarize themselves with the site.
