Octopus Renewables buys into floating offshore wind developer Simply Blue Group

Octopus Renewables has invested €15 million in floating wind developer, Simply Blue Group.

It marks Octopus’ entry into the floating offshore wind sector.

Simply Blue Group has a pipeline of more than 9GW of floating offshore wind capacity, most of which is planned for sites in UK and Irish waters.

It has already teamed-up with Shell and TotalEnergies on project development. 

Octopus Renewables’ portfolio of assets, meanwhile, amounts to more than 2.8GW of capacity.
