CIP (Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners) recently attended the ‘Ulsan Floating Wind Strategy Report’ event held at Techno Industrial Complex in Ulsan, South Korea, and announced the plan to strengthen the cooperation with Ulsan city to foster 1.2-1.5GW Ulsan Floating Wind and Green Hydrogen.

During the event, president Moon Jae-in expressed his interest and willingness to support the uninterrupted implementation of the Korean version of the New Deal and the regional balance New Deal.

Ambassadors from four countries, global offshore wind power companies such as CIP, and domestic companies such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, also attended the event to find ways to attract domestic investment and foster Ulsan floating offshore wind power and green hydrogen.

Since started the development process in 2018, CIP signed a business agreement with SK E&S and Ulsan in January 2019 to build and operate floating offshore wind farms and revitalize the local economy, and has been measuring wind resources since last year for the Electricity business license application purpose.
