Enercon lines up CEO replacement as Kettwig retires
Enercon CEO Hans-Dieter Kettwig will retire at the end of the year and be replaced by board member Momme Janssen.
Kettwig has been with the German turbine manufacturer since 1988.
His successor, Jannsen, has most recently been responsible for managing the structuring and design of Enercon’s transformation programme.
Janssen said he sees the continuation of this transformation programme – which includes a restructuring of Enercon’s German manufacturing and the targeting of international markets – as the primary focus of his new role.
He will take over as CEO from 1 December.
Chairman of the board at Aloys Wobben Stiftung – Enercon’s sole shareholder – Heiko Janssen added that new CEO Momme Janssen has “built up an international management profile in his previous employment positions, which is especially beneficial for the company’s planned regionalisation and internationalisation”.
Prior to joining Enercon in 2016, Momme Janssen had previously worked in various international management positions for Airbus Group.
