Enercon appoints CEO for western Europe

Energy Disrupter

The new position will see Terpstra lead the company’s efforts to supply and develop more wind projects in the region.

In a statement, Enercon said Terpstra had been interim head of western Europe for the company since September, while maintaining his previous role as director of service for the region.

The German wind turbine manufacturer has wind farms across the region, including in Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, and Spain according to Windpower Intelligence, the data and research division of Windpower Monthly.

Terpstra said: “The plan is to continue on this success over the coming years as we strive towards a safe and sustainable organisation where we work hard, support one another and look after each other and our customers.”

Speaking to Windpower Monthly, last month, Enercon CEO Jürgen Zeschky credited US policy-makers with doing a better job than their European counterparts at serving their key interests, citing measures such as the Inflation Reduction Act.
