Vestas secures nearly 300MW of wind turbine orders in US

Vestas has secured wind turbine deals for nearly 300MW of capacity in the US.

It is due to supply EnVentus turbines to two of Algonquin Power’s projects in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, the 87.6MW Sandy Ridge 2 Sandy Ridge 2 (87.6MW) OnshoreBlair County, Center County and Tyrone Borough, Pennsylvania, USA, North America Click to see full details in Pennsylvania will comprise 14 of Vestas’ V150-6.0 MW turbines and one V136-3.45 MW turbine in 3.6MW mode. 

Delivery will begin in the second quarter of 2022, with commissioning following in the fourth quarter. Vestas will then provide service at both wind farms for ten years. 

The manufacturer has also received a 101MW order, for 24 of its V150-4.2 MW turbines. They will be installed at an undisclosed US project in the second half of 2022, after which Vestas will also provide multi-year service.
