DEME CEO meets Prime Minister Egypt in Davos

Luc Vandenbulcke, CEO of the Belgian company DEME met Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly of Egypt.
The Prime Minister began the meeting by expressing his appreciation forDEME’s activities in Egypt, praising the scale of the company’s projects, particularly in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the Gergoub area in the northwestern coastal region.
He confirmed during the meeting the attention the Egyptian state pays to the energy sector, continuously working to provide more incentives and facilitations for this promising sector to attract further investments, highlighting the importance of the projects being implemented by DEME, as they align with the government’s plan to develop the energy sector and increase the mix of new and renewable energy.
During the meeting, Luc Vandenbulcke discussed the company’s efforts in new and renewable energy in Egypt and its future plans to expand into more projects in the country.
The CEO also explained the development of the company’s projects and the progress being made in their implementation, both in the Gergoub area and the Suez Canal Economic Zone, among other work sites.
Vandenbulcke confirmed that his company is responding to the needs of the international market regarding the demand for wind, solar, and green hydrogen projects, noting the support these projects receive from the European Union, especially for green hydrogen.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue cooperation and coordination for the implementation of the company’s projects in Egypt.
