The two winners of the Geothermal Internship 2024 “Young Geothermal Promoters: linking academia, industry and communities” have been announced in Mexico.

Within the framework of the XXX Congress of the Mexican Geothermal Association (AGM), in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, the two winners of the First Geothermal Internship 2024 “Young Promoters of Geothermal Energy: linking academia, industry and communities” were announced, YGP- 2024. The program is an initiative led and organized by ENERYOU, the UNAM Institute of Geophysics, and the International Geothermal Association (IGA), with the collaboration of Grupo IIDEA, ALVO, and IER.

The winners, Bárbara Utesá from the Argentine Geothermal Chamber, and Jaime Muñoz from the Honduran Institute of Geology and Mines (INHGEOMIN), will spend 5 weeks in Mexico soaking up everything geothermal. The internship program includes participation in the aforementioned Congress, visits to geothermal plants and communities, as well as work with research groups.
