General – Appointments

DEME announced the addition of two new members to the Board of Directors of DEME Group NV.

Marieke Schoningh and Gaelle Hotellier were officially appointed at the Annual General Meeting on 15 May 2024. They will both serve as independent directors for a period of four years until the closing of the Annual General Meeting in 2028.

Earlier last week DEME announced that CFO Els Verbraecken will leave the company after two decades.

Marieke Schöningh has more than 30 years of experience, mostly in heavy-capex industries but also in logistics distribution. She is currently the COO and a member of the Board of Directors of ProRail, holds a Supervisory Board membership at TKH Group and has previously held Supervisory Board roles at Delta NV and at Zuyd Hogeschool.

With over 25 years of experience, Gaëlle Hotellier has a strong track record in executive roles in various industries, including both corporate and family businesses, start-ups and mature organisations. She is the COO of the Krohne Group. Prior to Krohne, she worked for 20 years at Siemens in various divisions and locations, moving from the lighting to the industrial and power generation divisions.

In addition, Kerstin Konradsson has decided to resign as an independent director as from 15 May 2024.
