The Karaman Special Provincial Administration in Karaman, Türkiye will drill five boreholes for geothermal resource exploration.

The Special Provincial Administration of the city of Karaman in Türkiye plans to drill 5 boreholes for geothermal resource exploration. These geothermal resource exploration and extraction activities in the field will be carried out under the license number 2021-J5 (ER:3415367) in the Egilmez Village in the Central District of Karaman Province.

Within the scope of the project, it is planned to drill 4 geothermal wells and 1 reinjection well. The total cost of the project is approximately 3 million TL (approx. USD 124,000).

The Karaman Special Provincial Administration will determine how each well will be used according to the temperature and flow values of the geothermal fluid to be extracted from the planned wells. When it is determined that sufficient and suitable fluid has been reached as a result of the well finishing tests, the drilling process will be completed.
