Delay to massive Ørsted offshore wind farm prompts call for UK permitting reform

UK regulators have delayed a permitting decision on Ørsted’s planned 2.6GW Hornsea Project Four wind farm by five months so the newly created department for energy security and net zero (DESNZ) can assess how the Danish developer will adequately protect native seabirds.
