Happy holidays and a happy new year from ThinkGeoEnergy
As in previous years, the ThinkGeoEnergy team will be taking a break over the holidays and will be back with news reporting on the first week of January 2023. We will then publish the first newsletter of 2023 on January 10.
We will be kicking off the next year with our annual articles on global geothermal statistics and a look back on the most-read news pieces of the past year. This is on top of several other things that ThinkGeoEnergy is planning to extend our reach and make our website more valuable to the wider geothermal community.
Stay tuned for updates on our partnership with Enerchange on our biweekly webinar series and our research activities. We will also announce some changes to our Spanish-language service of PiensaGeotermia early in the new year. We would like to thank everyone who participated in our reader survey as your response helps us tremendously in setting our priorities.
To say that ThinkGeoEnergy has evolved in 2022 is an understatement. Since the start of the year, our team has made an earnest effort to professionalize with better-defined roles, a more extensive range of services, and more consistency in news reporting. Our readership has remained healthy with 656,000 visitors and almost 1.5 million pageviews over the whole year. Notably, we are ending the year with more than 24,000 LinkedIn followers – a huge leap from last year’s 16,000.It was also a great pleasure to connect with friends during the European Geothermal Conference in Berlin. As in-person events start to become more common again, ThinkGeoEnergy hopes to continue to participate and provide on-site coverage.
The geothermal market is growing, and ThinkGeoEnergy intends to grow along with it. We have big plans for 2023 that will make ThinkGeoEnergy not just the premium site for geothermal news, but also a platform for connecting the stakeholders of the geothermal industry.
To end this note, I would like to thank the old and new faces of the ThinkGeoEnergy team for all the support this year – Alex, Merve, Carlos, Jeremy, Robert, Anna, and Chris.
We wish you and your families all the best for this holiday season. May we all have a happier, more peaceful, and more fulfilling new year. We look forward to having all of our readers again next year.
