In the future it also plans to include biogas and hydrogen refining within the parks.

The energy parks will have a combined capacity of approximately 2.5GW, though Eurowind Energy has not confirmed the capacity of each project.

North Jutland-based Eurowind has entered into agreements with landowners for Energipark Aalborg, in Aalborg (in the north of Denmark’s large Jutland peninsula),Nørrekær Enge II in Vesthimmerland and Aalborg; Energipark Overgaard in Randers (central Jutland), Energipark Gasse Hede and Vollum Enge in Tønder (southern Jutland).

Energipark Aalborg is due to comprise 19 wind turbines with tip heights of 150 metres and 3.75 km2 of solar PV in Aalborg, as well as 15 turbines with tip heights of 150 metres in neighbouring Brønderslev. Eurowind Energy is seeking permitting approval from both Aalborg and Brønderslev municipalities.

The Nørrekær Enge II site is due to feature 40 turbines with tip heights of 170 metres, located in Vesthimmerland and Aalborg municipalities. Eurowind Energy is in talks with the municipalities and is planning solar PV’s role in the project

Overgaard Energy Park already features Denmark’s largest onshore wind farm, with the 58MW Overgaard 1 – phase I Overgaard 1 – phase I (58MW) OnshoreRanders, Denmark, Europe Click to see full details and 36MW Overgaard 1 – phase II Overgaard 1 – phase II (36MW) OnshoreRanders, Denmark, Europe Click to see full details projects there already operational. Eurowind is seeking permitting approval for more than 7km2 of solar PV from Randers muncipality.

For Gasse Hede, Eurowind Energy is seeking permitting approval from Tønder municipality for eight turbines with tip height of 150 metres and 460m2 of solar PV.

Eurowind Energy is seeking permitting approval from Tønder Municipality for 10 turbines with tip heights of 180 m and 190m2 of solar PV for the Vollum Enge project.
