For the EPCIC tender for the topside for a central processing platform (CPP) for Crux gas project in Browse Basin offshore Australia the final contract is expected in Q2, 2022.

The topside bid scope comprises the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning of the remotely operated topside (approximately dry weight at 10,000 tonnes) and to be installed via float-over operation.

Subject to the FID result, recently awarded development drilling campaign for five-well contract schedule to start in Q4 of 2023. Prior, development drilling campaign has been extended the validity of their proposals until April 2022.

For the offshore platform, officially there are four bidders: McDermott, SapuraEnergy, Sembcorp Marine and TechnipFMC with partner Malaysia Marine Heavy Engineering. However, McDermott is said by multiple sources to be the preferred party for the 26,000-tonne steel jacket.

For the 165-kilometre 26-inch diameter subsea pipeline, the bidders include heavyweights Allseas, McDermott, Saipem and Sapura.

As for the umbilicals and riser package, contracting sources said major contenders include Subsea7, Sapura, TechnipFMC and McDermott.
