Another offshore tower factory in Poland

As it has only now become known, the Polish Industrial Development Agency JSC (IDA) and the Spanish company GRI Renewable Industries signed a Memorandum of Understanding already on February 11, 2022, to build a new tower factory.

As published in OER on February 17, Spanish company Windar Renovables also confirmed an investment decision to build a new offshore tower factory in Poland.

IDA and GRI will cooperate in the construction of a new tower factory for offshore wind energy (OWE) in Gdansk. The estimated value of this investment is over EUR 100 million, and the production is expected to begin in 2024.

It is said that the new production hall will be built to accommodate the largest planned wind turbines with a capacity of more than 13 MW.
