Climate change is perceptible globally and regionally. The people in Baden-Württemberg are confronted with extreme weather events such as droughts and heavy rain. Renewable energies are an important component in countering climate change. The Baden-Württemberg state government has therefore set itself the goal of widespread use of deep geothermal energy as renewable energy in the coalition agreement. For the implementation of the technology, the acceptance of the citizens is essential. With the event, the Freiburg Regional Council would like to make a contribution to educating the population about the technical procedures and the licensing procedures.
