Drilling contracts for Sapura

Sapura has been awarded several contracts for its tender-assist rigs in southeast Asia.

Firstly it has secured a contract from Petronas Carigali for the provision of a tender assist drilling rig(s) for a duration of two years, commencing 26 April 2021 to 25 April 2023.

The contract provides for an option of two (2) years’ extension and is based on call-out of any semi-submersible tender-assist drilling rigs or tender barges, subject to rig availability and suitability with client’s requirements.

Meanwhile, Sapura Esperanza will drill six wells under an Integrated Rig, Drilling and Completion Services contract from Petronas Carigali, offshore Malaysia. Work will begin in Q3 2021.

Additionally, tender-assist rig Sapura T-17 has won a three-year contract (plus up to a year of options) from PTTEP and will start work in Q4 2021.

Finally, tender-assist rig Sapura T-18 has received a four-month extension until October 31, 2021 from PTTEP Thailand.
