The Deepsea Yantai has just completed drilling of a 1,500m horizontal reservoir section on the Neptune-operated Duva field.
The well is the oil producer 36/7-K-4 HT2, which is the second of four wells to be drilled and completed by Deepsea Yantai.
The next phase will be to run the Lower completion and the Upper completion before the well is flowed to clean up the wellbore prior to passing 36/7-K-4 HT2 over to the Neptune-operated Gjøa platform for production.
The Duva field is located in the northern part of the north sea in Norway, and is scheduled to start production via Gjøa in Q3 2021.
