First monopile foundation Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm

DEME Offshore, together with consortium partner Eiffage Métal, announce the successful installation of the first monopile foundation at the Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm.
With this achievement DEME Offshore makes history in the industry, given that this is also the first foundation for the very first commercial offshore wind farm in France.
It is the first use of the 60 m high, in-house designed ‘MODIGA’. This innovative equipment encapsulates the drilling and installation operations and shields them from the adverse Atlantic marine conditions, enhancing operational working time.
The MODIGA is deployed from DEME Offshore’s jack-up installation vessel ‘Innovation’.
