These are some of the steps to reducing your utility costs in the coming winter. The Community Energy Engagement Program (CEEP) offered through NYSERDA and in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County can help.
There is support available to help residents and businesses reduce their energy consumption and energy costs and make informed energy decisions. Community Energy Advisors can connect you to resources and networks that provide cost saving opportunities in your community.
Community Energy Advisors are available to help you to make informed energy decisions; inform you of financing options for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and products; guide you through the process of implementing clean energy projects and connect you with the right energy contractors who can implement clean energy projects.
From now until the end of the year, NYSERDA is offering increased incentives that may qualify income eligible households for up to $10,000 in home weatherization. There is also the Assisted Home Performance with Energy Star program. For more information visit nyserda.ny.gov/All-Programs/Programs/Assisted-Home-Performance-with-ENERGY-STAR. The eligibility guidelines have been updated until the end of the year allowing for matching funds and if needed a low interest loan.
