As the platforms have reached the end of their life, Petrogas is undertaking the complex task of decommissioning the platform structures.

This operation involves meticulous planning and execution to ensure the safety of all personnel involved, prevent environmental damages, re-establish natural habitats and fulfill our social contract.

The decommissioning process includes the removal of both topside and jacket structures, plugging and abandonment of wells, restoration of the seabed, and a safe disposal while maximizing recycling of materials.

The decommissioning of the P/Q oil field symbolizes the end of an era, but also paves the way for new opportunities in renewable energy and sustainable practices in the North Sea.
