The deal will see the Danish turbine manufacturer supply 93 of its V162-6.2 MW wind turbines from its EnVentus platform to the 577MW Golden Plains Stage Two project in Victoria, Australia.

Vestas said the agreement was signed with the project’s owner, Tag Energy, and includes a 30-year service and maintenance contract.

“Building on our existing 756MW contract with Tag Energy for stage one, this is now our largest onshore wind farm globally,” the company wrote in a LinkedIn post.

The manufacturing major signed a deal to supply 122 of its V162-6.2 MW turbines to the 756MW Golden Plains Stage One project in 2022.

Vestas said delivery for Golden Plains Stage Two is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025, with commissioning set for Q1 of 2026.
