The ETC INTERREG project has made available online a fantastic interactive virtual tour of the Bouillante geothermal power plant in Guadeloupe.
The Energy Transition in the Caribbean (ETC) INTERREG cooperation project has published a fantastic virtual tour of the Bouillante geothermal power plant in Guadeloupe.
The virtual tour can be accessed via this link.
The tour provides an excellent overview of the Bouillante geothermal power plant, its history, and the role it plays in achieving the energy autonomy goals of Guadeloupe. It also goes into detail on specific facilities, such as the power plant, wells, control room, and discharge facilities. The audio of the virtual tour is in French, but captions and other written material are available in English.
Virtual tours are highly engaging ways to provide information on geothermal facilities. Through the years, this medium has been used by several companies and projects including the Eavor-Lite demonstration facility in Alberta, Canada, and the geothermal facilities of Grupo ICE in Costa Rica.
