Tender – Well logging & testing in Ulumbu, Mataloko geothermal sites, Indonesia
PT PLN has published a tender for well logging and testing services for the Ulumbu and Mataloko geothermal sites in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara / PT PLN (Persero) has announced a tender for the contract “Procurement of Well Logging and Well Testing Works for PLTP Ulumbu 5 (20 MW) and PLTP Mataloko 2×10 MW.” Proposals for bidding of this contract must be submitted by the 12th of February 2024.
PT PLN had been assigned by the Indonesian government to develop the Ulumbu and Mataloko geothermal sites, both located in East Nusa Tenggara, as early as 2016.
Funds allocated by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and provided through the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) Bank will go towards the project. It is intended that parts of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract resulting from the bidding.
A site visit and pre-bid meeting will be held tentatively three weeks after the tender publish date (14 December 2023).
A complete set of the bid documents may be purchased by interested bidders after the submission of a written request to the address below and payment of a non-refundable fee of IDR 22,200,000 including VAT.

Contract scope
The tender is for the procurement of a Contractor for the development of integrated well logging and well testing works in Mataloko and Ulumbu. The contractor shall provide the services, manpower, equipment, and materials for the execution. Well loggin and well testing services shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Mobilization and demobilization of all equipment and personnel
- Conduct well logging and well testing operations in accordance with the drilling program and schedule
- Conduct necessary inspections and quality controls of all Contractor’s items prior to well logging and well testing operations
- Provide all materials, equipment, and services as reuired
- Provide meals and lodging services for Contractor’s personnel, including both of the Employer and Engineer
- Provide all transportation required for the Contractor’s personnel, logistics, logging and testing materials and equipment, vehicles, cranes, forklifts, and other required for well logging and well testing operation and services
- Store and manage all inventory including Fuel
- Prepare reports and obtain permits as required in the contract
- Provide all the necessary materials, personnel, equipment for well logging and well testing support services as required in the project.
