Registration is currently open for the 2023 Mine Water Geothermal Energy Symposium, a virtual event to be held on 19 to 20 April 2023. The registration for the event is free, but those who wish to attend need to register. The registration links can be found on the official event website.
The programme and list of speakers for the event has been published and can be viewed here. The symposium will feature an excellent lineup of speakers from Fraunhofer IEG, University of Strathclyde, University of Edinburgh, the Coal Authority, and Townrock Energy among several others.
The event is being organized by the British Geological Survey, the UK Coal Authority, and the International Energy Agency – Geothermal Implementing Agreement (IEA-GIA). Since 2021, the event has provided a platform to explore and discuss the developments in using mine water for heating, cooling, and thermal storage. The 2022 edition was attended by 200 participants from over 34 countries.
