Geothermal greenhouse installation planned in Kula, Manisa
In cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the feasibility studies continue for the planned geothermal greenhouse in Kula, Turkey.
Within the scope of the “Technological Greenhouse Installation Project with Geothermal Energy” planned to be held in the Kula district of Manisa province, a technical visit was organized to the geothermal heated modern technological greenhouses in Sandikli, which is an investment of Koyuncu Group. As we previously reported; Koyuncu Group has announced that it has started production in its new investment, a 100-decare geothermal heated modern technological greenhouse located in Sandikli district of Afyonkarahisar province.
A few months ago, the delegation, which also included the General Manager of Development Agencies, Baris Yeniceri, District Governor Kemal Duru, Mayor Huseyin Tosun and agency experts, made an examination of the potential thermal water resources in the Emir Spas region and its surroundings.
The Zafer Development Agency prepared a pre-feasibility report on the effective use of resources in the field of geothermal-based technological greenhouse cultivation and thermal tourism in Kula. You can access the report here.
During the technical tour organized within the scope of the project feasibility studies, views were exchanged on the establishment process, construction stages and installation costs of technological greenhouses. The Delegation consists of Kula Mayor Hüseyin Tosun, Municipal Council Members working in the Agriculture and Livestock Rural Development Commission and technical personnel.
President Hüseyin Tosun said the following about the trip: “There is a project prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Industry and Technology to increase studies and investments for the use of geothermal energy in greenhouse cultivation in our district, which is rich in geothermal resources. With the support of the Zafer Development Agency, we made a technical trip to Afyonkarahisar Sandikli District with our Municipal Council Members and technical personnel within the scope of the “Technological Greenhouse Installation Project with Geothermal Energy” within the framework of the Youth Working and Producing Program (CUGEP). We examined the examples of the geothermal-sourced technological greenhouse activities in the field, for which we started the feasibility studies.
