Energy Disrupter

The installation of all 83 turbines has been completed at the 322MW Zeewolde Zeewolde (322MW) OnshoreFlevoland, Netherlands, Europe Click to see full details repowering project in Flevoland.

The development — a replacement of around 220 older turbines — is the largest Dutch onshore wind project. It comprises four different types of Vestas turbines: V136 (20 units), V126 (33 units), V117 (21 units) and V110 (9 units), arranged in six lines.

Turbine installation started in May 2021, and now that it has been completed, a period of testing and trial runs of all turbines will be conducted over the next few months. The tip height of the blades varies from 140 to 220 metres, and the average rating is 3.9MW.

Many are already operational, and the entire wind farm is due for completion by the end of the summer. Its output will be almost three times greater than that of the original turbines.
