Steel structure fabrication contract for Hollandse Kust Noord

Marketex Offshore Constructions from Estonia and Van Oord have signed a steel structure fabrication contract for the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm.
The cooperation with the Dutch partner – Van Oord – is a major step for Marketex ttowards achieving its aspiration of being a trusted supplier for large-scale projects in the North and Baltic Seas.
The fabrication of the steel structures is due to start in 2022.
The Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm will feature 69 Siemens Gamesa 11 MW wind turbines located 18,5 km off the Dutch coast. The wind farm is scheduled to be grid-connected in 2023, and is expected to generate at least 3.3 TWh per year, which is enough power to supply more than one million Dutch households.
