Wind Energy – Jacket Thor
At the HSM Offshore Energy yard in the Netherlands, welding work is in full swing on the jacket for the Thor OHVS.
Once completed, this massive structure will stand at 40x40x50 meters, with a total weight of 2,200 MT.
The jacket, built from high-strength tubular steel, consists of multiple legs and braces.
After fabrication, the jacket undergoes surface treatment before being transported to the offshore wind farm for installation.
