New EU energy commissioner tasked with electrification plan

The EU’s new energy and housing commissioner, Dan Jørgensen, has been tasked with proposing a blueprint for boosting electrification in the bloc, accelerating the rollout of renewables and ending the EU’s import of Russian energy.
