PT Geo Dipa Energi has announced a tender for EPC of the Dieng 2 geothermal power plant in Central Java, Indonesia.
PT Geo Dipa Energi has announced a tender for an EPC contract for the Dieng Unit 2 geothermal power plant in Central Java, Indonesia. The deadline for submission of bids for the open competitive bidding is on 26 November 2024.

Geo Dipa has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the expansion of both the Dieng and Patuha geothermal power plants. Part of this financing will go towards the payment for the contract under this tender. This contract will be jointly financed by the Clean Technology Fund. The eligibility rules and procedures of ADB will govern the bidding process.
A site visit will be held on 18-20 September 2024, while a pre-bit meeting will be held on 26 September 2024.
Operations of the 55-MW Dieng Unit 1 geothermal power plant started in 2002. In 2021, a small-scale 10-MW power plant in Dieng also went online.
Work on the Dieng 2 expansion had started back in 2019 with community engagement activities and an initial environmental assessment, as required by ADB for financing. In late 2021, Geo Dipa announced the start of the drilling campaign for the Dieng 2 and Patuha 2 geothermal projects.
