Wind Energy – Wind Peak

Two days ago Cadeler celebrated the naming of its fifth and newest addition to the Cadeler fleet, Wind Peak.

Wind Peak is specifically designed for handling some of the largest wind turbine components in the offshore wind industry.

Wind Peak can transport and install seven complete 15 MW turbine sets or five sets of 20+ MW turbines per load. This means that fewer trips are needed for each project, accelerating installation speed, and minimizing carbon footprint.

Wind Peak will go directly from the shipyard to commercial operation.

Next year, Wind Peak’s sister ship, Wind Pace, will follow from the skilled shipbuilders at COSCO in Qidong.
