Hephae Energy, Well Guidance collaborate to advance high-T geothermal drilling
Hephae Energy Technology and Well Guidance will be collaborating on the Pandora 210 drilling technology to unlock the potential of high-temperature geothermal.
High-temperature geothermal drilling technology specialist Hephae Energy Technology and directional drilling services provider Well Guidance have announced a strategic partnership to collaborate on the commercialization of the Pandora 210 MWD system.
Pandora210 is a high-temperature geothermal drilling system with MWD and RSS electronics designed for 210 °C operating temperature with a technology roadmap and upgrade path to 300 °C. The technology enables greater energy recovery in unconventional geothermal operations and aims to reduce non-productive time in high-temperature geothermal drilling through improved reliability.
“We are excited to partner with the Well Guidance team, in order to commercialize MWD systems we needed a partner with the operational and drilling optimization experience that Well Guidance brings,” said Steve Krase of Hephae Energy Technology.
“New technology, including our innovative new MWD and RSS systems, will catalyse rapid growth in geothermal drilling in the next few years and we are delighted to have a partner with Well Guidance’s competence and experience,” added John Clegg of Hephae Energy Technology.
“We are delighted to join forces with Hephae in this groundbreaking partnership. The commercialization of the Pandora210 MWD system is a significant step forward for the geothermal drilling industry. Combining our expertise in directional drilling with Hephae’s advanced high-temperature solutions will undoubtedly drive innovation and efficiency in geothermal projects across Europe and overseas. Together, we are poised to unlock new potentials and accelerate the growth of sustainable energy solutions. The future is hotter, and hotter is better!” said Andy Douglas, MD of Well Guidance.
