At the end of November last year the Seaway Ventus left Nantong, China, on its maiden voyage from the shipyard to Europe.

Seaway Ventus is a large self-propelled jack-up installation vessel designed to install offshore wind turbines and monopile foundations, able to accommodate up to 130 people on board.

The vessel is capable of installing wind turbine components in water depths of 65m, to a height of up to 182m above the sea and features a telescopic leg encircling crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 2,500t in retracted mode and 1,600t in extended mode.

The Seaway Ventus is contracted to install wind turbines on Orsted’s Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore Germany.
