Two wind projects in Uruguay purchased by Cubico

The investment firm said in a statement it had purchased the 52MW Carapé I and 43MW Carapé II projects in Maldonado, southern Uruguay, as well as a 26MW solar project in the north of the country, from renewable energy investment firm Brookfield. 

Both Carapé I and II use Vestas V112-3.0MW turbines and came online in 2015.

The aquisition means Cubico now owns renewable energy asset with an installed capacity of more than 320MW in Uruguay. 

Cubico owns 1.08GW of installed wind capacity worldwide according to Windpower Intelligence, the data and research division of Windpower Monthly.
