Scotland promises quicker permitting to meet 20GW onshore wind goal

Scotland’s government has promised to streamline permitting procedures for new and repowered onshore wind farms in a move the industry claimed could provide a blueprint for the rest of the UK, including England where development still faces high hurdles.
