Registration open for Geothermal AInnovation Competition
Registration is open for the Geothermal AInnovation contest, a competition on using AI models to support geothermal projects. This will be part of PIVOT 2023.
As part of PIVOT 2023, SPE International with Project Innerspace will be holding a Geothermal AInnovation Contest that will challenge teams to propose novel machine learning-based workflows for any geothermal-related disciplines. Registration for the competition will be open only until 31 July 2023. Interested participants may register via this link.
This contest challenges Teams to propose logic learning machine (LLM)-based workflows for any discipline (geophysics, geology, drilling and completions, reservoir / production / process engineering, HSE) that would support accelerated assessments to facilitate the implementation of geothermal projects, paving the way for a greener and more sustainable future.
This competition aims to highlight is the disruptive force of LLM to accelerate geothermal, from field development to also research and development of new enablers. Participants are allowed to utilizing any of the existing pre-trained models in the public domain to present conceptual ideas of applications of LLM-models into the lifecycle of geothermal developments.
The participants will have until 31st August to develop a LLM-based workflow. Participants will submit a Video of maximum 3 minutes where they will describe the target problem, the selected information and datasets to apply the LLM-Model, and a visualization of how the coded workflow works in one geothermal example.
The finals and award ceremony for the competition will be held as part of the PIVOT 2023 event from 13 to 20 September 2023.
PIVOT 2023 has also recently opened nominations for the Five on Fire awards. If you know of any geothermal champions who are challenging the status quo, engaging new minds, inspiring others to act, and causing chain reactions that are taking geothermal exponential, make sure to get your nominations in by 21 July 2023.
