Wind Energy – Formosa 2 Taiwan
Taiwan President Tsai celebrates the inauguration of Taiwan’s largest-in-scale by far (376 MW) offshore wind farm Formosa 2 at the Waipu Fishing Port in Miaoli.
Tsai says the completion of Formosa 2 demonstrates Taiwan’s ability to supply clean energy to enhance industry competitiveness in global supply chain, the stable growth of green energy and enhancing electricity dispatching efficiency.
With all 47 wind turbine generators installed earlier this year and connected to the grid in March, Formosa 2 is stepping into the operational stage and is fully equipped to supply 376 MW of clean energy.
