Workshop on lithium extraction from geothermal brine, 15 June 2023, Munich, Germany
Registration is currently open for a workshop on lithium extraction from geothermal brines hosted by the “UnLimited” research project in Munich on 15 June 2023.
As part of the “THE SMARTER E EUROPE” (TSEE) trade fair from June 14th to 16th in Munich, Germany, the “UnLimited” research project funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) is offering a workshop on June 15th on lithium extraction from geothermal brines. Here the technical challenges in the extraction and the requirements for the product lithium on the battery market are discussed.
Registration for the workshop “Lithium extraction from geothermal brines: what are the requirements of the lithium-ion battery market” is free of charge (Register here). A day ticket (€49) is required to enter the exhibition grounds of “THE SMARTER E EUROPE”.
With the decarbonization of the automotive industry, the demand for lithium has increased significantly over time due to its application in lithium-ion batteries. Currently, the extraction of lithium from geothermal brines is being researched in many places in Europe, using various methods of direct lithium extraction. However, not only do the technical challenges have to be solved from a geothermal point of view, but the requirements for the product from the battery market also have to be taken into account.
The “UnLimited” research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) is therefore offering a workshop on June 15 at “THE SMARTER E EUROPE” in Munich. In particular, the exchange between all relevant parties and the bringing together of their interests is the aim of the event.
