General – Artificial Reefs
The Borssele OWF in the North Sea is Ørsted’s first project in the Netherlands and we are testing a new initiative designed to support bio diversity.
The video shows the installation of several artificial reefs on the seabed.
Each reef has approximately 45 pipes. The pipe reefs are designed in co-operation with researchers from Wageningen Marine Research.
