Vestas reports 1.2GW of orders as year draws to a close

Vestas had already agreed to supply the development’s first phase, with commercial operations expected to start gradually from the second half of 2024.
Two orders were reported from the USA, where the manufacturer agreed to supply 48 V150-4.5MW turbines to AES Corporation, for the 216MW Chevelon Butte II Chevelon Butte II (216MW) OnshoreWinslow, Arizona, USA, North America Click to see full details wind farm in Arizona. A 73MW order for 33 V110-2.0MW turbines in 2.2MW mode was also received, to repower an undisclosed US wind farm.
Elsewhere, the OEM reported a 252MW order for an undisclosed project in Australia, to which it will supply 42 V162-6.2MW turbines in 6MW mode and deliver the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC).
The European market also provided some buoyancy.
In Italy, Vestas agreed to supply 20 V150-4.2MW turbines to W.E.B Group subsidiary, Campo Eolico Ariano (CEA). In Sweden, a 93MW order from SR Energy was announced, for 15 V162-6.2MW turbines for the 93MW Älgkullen Älgkullen (93MW) OnshoreDalarna County, Sweden, Europe Click to see full details project.
In Romania, Vestas received a 60MW order from DTEK Renewables for the 60MW Ruginoasa Ruginoasa (60MW) OnshoreIași County, Romania, Europe Click to see full details project. It will comprise ten V162-6.2MW turbines in 6MW mode.
And in Germany, Vestas received a 50MW order for nine V150-6.0MW turbines in 5.6MW mode for an undisclosed project.
