Wind Energy – Keel Laying

Dutch maritime company Van Oord on Tuesday (27 December) said the keel laying ceremony for its methanol powered offshore installation vessel Boreas took place, at the Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore (YCRO) yard in Yantai, China.

The Boreas has the size of 175 metres and lifting power of over 3,000 tonnes to transport and install 20 MW wind turbines.
