Hats off to ScottishPower’s first head of offshore development
Wind Energy – Appointment
ScottishPower Renewables has appointed its first-ever Head of Offshore Development for Scotland following its unrivaled success in Crown Estate Scotland’s ScotWind Leasing earlier this year.
Mandy Gloyer, who was instrumental in leading ScottishPower’s ScotWind achievements, will take up the post in January, with responsibility for overseeing all of the company’s renewables development activities in Scottish waters.
This includes the MarramWind (3GW) and CampionWind (2GW) floating windfarm sites being developed off the north and north-east coasts of Scotland in partnership with Shell, as well as the MachairWind (2GW) fixed site off the coast of Argyll – a solo development for ScottishPower.
Mandy joined ScottishPower Renewables in 2009 and has been involved in the development of all its offshore windfarms, working across roles in policy, stakeholder and community engagement.
Mandy’s appointment completes ScottishPower Renewables’ senior offshore development team line-up, following the appointment of Catherine Sibley as Head of Development for England and Ireland earlier in the year.
