Winners announced for Geothermal Rising Conference Honors and Awards
Congratulations to all the winners of the 2022 Geothermal Rising Conference Honors & Awards, a truly outstanding group of individuals.
Geothermal Rising has shared the winners of the 2022 Geothermal Rising Conference (GRC) Honors and Awards !
The GRC Awards recognize distinguished colleagues in the geothermal community from around the world and have been a highlight of the geothermal calendar since the late 1970s. The recipients of these awards have significant achievements in the geothermal academic, scientific, and commercial communities.
This year, a few additional awards have been added. The Young Professional Award has been split into two categories — Leadership and Technical. We have also added a new Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Champion Award,
So without further ado, we are delighted present the 2022 GRC Award Winners:
- Aidlin Presidential Award — Andrew E. Sabin
- Geothermal Pioneer Award — Karen R. Christopherson
- Henry Ramey Geothermal Reservoir Engineering Award — Ghazal Izadi
- Ben Holt Geothermal Power Plant Award — Monte C. Morrison
- Geothermal Special Achievement Award — Karl Urbank
- Outstanding Research Award — Patrick Dobson
- Young Professional Award (Leadership) — Moones Alamooti
- Young Professional Award (Technical) — Nicole Taverna
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Champion Award — Caity Smith
The award winners will be recognized at the 2022 Geothermal Rising Conference in Reno, during the Annual Membership Meeting & Awards Breakfast, held on Wednesday, August 31. Details on the conference as well as online registration can be found here.
