Piotr Naimski dismissed as government plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure
General – Poland
Piotr Naimski was dismissed from the position of the government plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure.
“As an oral justification, I was told that I am not suitable for cooperation and that I ‘block everything’,” he wrote on social media.
Piotr Naimski was the Polish secretary of state at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister from November 2015. He was a supporter of nuclear energy.
He announced his departure via social media. “I use this platform to inform you that on July 20 I received my resignation from the position of the Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure and the Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. I block. ‘This is not the first resignation in my already quite long life. This one comes 30 years after the overthrow of the government of Prime Minister Jan Olszewski, in which I was the head of the UOP. Then Wałęsa threw me out of the hands of interim Prime Minister Pawlak “- he wrote.
Naimski also recalled that “Baltic Pipewhich was built by the Gaz-System supervised by me on behalf of the State Treasury, will be put into operation in October, and the ceremony related to it will be held on September 27 at the Szczecin Philharmonic.”
“I dare to say that building this connection between Poland and Norwegian gas deposits is one of the most important political and economic successes achieved by our country in the past thirty years. Russia the gas loop is dropped this year. Russia will not be able to blackmail us by turning off the ‘gas tap’. Russia’s war with Ukraine and the use of energy blackmail by the Russians against all of Europe show how important it is for the country’s security.”
