Ameren offering home energy inspections | Journal-Courier – Jacksonville Journal-Courier

Ameren Illinois is offering free services to help alleviate the strain of energy bills this summer.

The utility said qualifying customers can receive a free home inspection from an energy adviser who will identify areas in a house that are wasting energy. Customers who meet requirements may receive grants for energy efficiency projects, such as insulation and air conditioning upgrades. To qualify, a customer must live in a single-family household, be an Ameren Illinois customer, and be at or below an income threshold based on county of residence and number of people in the house.
