Wind Energy – substation

The offshore substation for Tennet, which Equans is building in a joint venture with Smulders for the Hollandse Kust (noord) offshore wind farm, has been moved out of the construction hall at the Hoboken yard in Belgium.

The platform’s sail away is planned for this summer. The Hollandse Kust (noord), (west Alpha) and (west Beta) offshore platforms will be located in the North Sea along the Dutch coast of the province of Noord-Holland. The wind farm should be operational in 2023.

The offshore platforms Hollandse Kust (noord), west Alpha and west Beta, will be located in the North Sea off the coast of the Dutch province of Noord-Holland.

By 2030, offshore wind farms will provide 40% of the Netherlands’ electricity needs. Hollandse Kust (nord) will be operational in 2023, with a capacity of 759 MW and an annual output of at least 3.3 TWh.
