Multinational geoscience technology services company CGG SA’s UK office is seeking to hire a Geothermal Technical Business Development Lead Global. The full-time position is based in North Wales or Crawley in the United Kingdom.
Job Description
The Technical Business Development Associate will drive global growth for CGG’s Geothermal Science team (part of CGG’s Energy Transition and Environment group). The successful candidate will represent a multi-disciplinary team of subject matter experts who combine to solve some of the biggest challenges in the geothermal industry.
The candidate will work collaboratively with a wide range of industry-leading experts and technologies spanning geothermal, mineral exploration, satellite remote sensing, seismic and non-seismic geophysics, environmental, oil & gas and data sciences, to proactively generate, qualify and support new leads, projects, and strategic business opportunities.
With an innovative mind set, a highly proactive work ethic and excellent communication skills, the successful candidate will enhance CGG’s presence globally in the geothermal industry. They will be responsible for representing CGG’s rapidly growing team and business, establishing themselves as the ‘go-to’ for our local clients, for market intelligence, and for developing deep client relationships that lead to new and novel technical developments and commercial revenues.
This will be achieved by leveraging their deep and existing network of contacts and through various activities, including direct calling, online and face-to-face meetings, networking events and presentations (conferences, tradeshows, seminars, video calls and webinars), social media and digital marketing campaigns. The role will require timely client communication and support of proposals and tenders, as well as regular reporting back to colleagues, including the Head of Geothermal Science and other key business stakeholders.
The role will join a strong and professional culture of providing accurate and honest consultative advice to clients in response to their complex challenges and requirements. The candidate will be effective at listening to, capturing and relaying client-led feedback to the team, and in turn must be able to effectively communicate CGG’s technology-led and rapidly evolving value proposition to a wide range of experts, stakeholders, and decision makers.
CGG’s geothermal activities are global, as such, the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with colleagues around the world. You will also be expected to travel to support the activities described above.
