COP26 – Nov 9: Empowering communities & stakeholders in their own local energy transition
About The Event
Engagement with communities and stakeholders is crucial to shaping public acceptance of renewable energy projects. As the percentage of renewables grows in national energy mixes, engagement from the bottom is needed just as much as government lobbying. Wind energy brings not only a plethora of economic gains but also helps tackle climate change and delivers environmental benefits. This panel will discuss the crucial role that communities and stakeholders play in wind developments.
Format: This event will be held in hybrid format in the Wind Pavilion, Hall 5, Blue Zone, Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, UK. Live streaming will be available for those who are unable to attend in-person.
